Last week's coup in Albany was completely a Western New York operation, with Buffalo Sabres owner and three-time gubernatorial candidate Tom Golisano and his political consultant Steve Pigeon enlisting state Sen. George Maziarz and others to end the Democrats' brief reign in the state Senate.
